Beta Club

The Beta Club is a national service club that promotes high standards of scholarship, leadership, and citizenship.  Membership is by invitation only during the second semester of each school year.  Middle school membership does not automatically give a student Beta status.  There is no membership quota, and students grades 10-12 who meet the criteria are invited.  Sophomores must have a 3.7 GPA, juniors 3.6, and seniors 3.5.

In accordance with its motto "Let us lead by serving others," the club participates in one service activity per month.  Some of the most popular projects are the St. Judes's Triviathon, Read Across America, and seasonal projects.

Meetings are held in Room 714 on the second Wednesday afternoon of each month.  Members must attend at least three meetings or participate in three projects annually as well as maintain at least a 3.3 GPA to remain in the club.

Sponsors are Mrs. Deanna Carey and Mr. Nathan Gouge.
